Open House for My New School

Helping Hands Family School will open September 1st. Yesterday we had our first Open House for enrolled families!  Because I was too busy greeting children and answering questions, I left my camera on a shelf.  Here are some photos of the classroom(s).  Even though they were much more sweet full of small people.

I love your set up. The big windows brighten up the classroom too. I like the cozy corner with the IKEA kiddie looking chairs. Is that a reading area or for socializing or...? I'm curious, what do you have on and under the table between the chairs?

congratulations on your new school...I , often feel that it's the natural progression for Montessori teachers...either open your own school or teach new teachers...Good luck on your journey!

Thank you for all the loving and supportive comments!
To answer some questions:
The IKEA looking chairs are actually from a company called Children's Organizers, who by the way were wonderful to work with. In the basket between the chairs is a small etcher sketch, and a lacing card. On the table is a 3 minute egg timer and a set of affirmation cards (I made). The purpose of this corner is not defined...I am interested to see the children in this space and see what they do with it to make it their own. The egg timer is a helpful tool I've found for my four year old to calm down with. It kind of found it's way there one day.
I can't wait to share photo of the children enjoying the space!
With love and in PEACE,
Jennifer
